Chianti Classico Riserva

A red wine of great depth

Our Chianti Classico Riserva is the result of winemaking in Tuscany that honors tradition while embracing renewal to offer a product of superior quality.

Unlike the Classico, the Riserva is aged for a longer period, refining its character in oak barrels that enhance its structure and complexity. The Sangiovese grapes, are carefully selected and vinified at a controlled temperature. Extended maceration gives the wine an enveloping smoothness and a deeper color, with garnet hues that intensify over the years.

A Chianti Classico Riserva perfect for those seeking an elegant wine, capable of evolving over time and pairing beautifully with more complex dishes, such as roasts and aged cheeses.

Caratteristiche

Grapes: Sangiovese

Production Area: Production in-house

Soil: The vineyards producing this wine are situated on hills at 250–300 meters above sea level, with excellent southern exposure, on galestro soils rich in alberese.

Production Technique: Ripe grapes, hand-picked into crates, are destemmed, crushed, and fermented at a controlled temperature of 26–28 °C, followed by a gentle maceration lasting 20–30 days to extract the maximum amount of polyphenolic compounds. These compounds give the wine its intense color and excellent body. To further enhance these qualities, this Chianti Classico is then aged in the estate’s underground cellars in French oak barriques for 18 months, during which its organoleptic characteristics are refined and harmonized. Finally, the wine is bottle-aged for 12 months.
