Gran Selezione

One of the finest Tuscan red wines

The Gran Selezione from our estate in Tuscany is a label that embodies the very essence of our passion for viticulture—a Tuscan red wine made from Sangiovese produced through a supply chain that meets the highest production standards.

Gran Selezione is born from the selection of the finest grapes of each vintage, vinified separately to preserve the identity of each vineyard. The result is an intense ruby-red wine with a complex bouquet, where fruit notes intertwine with elegant hints of spice.

On the palate, it offers great structure, with soft tannins and a full body that evolves over time, delivering intriguing sensations. Perfect for those seeking excellence in a bottle of Chianti Classico, this wine pairs beautifully with refined dishes and red meat, enhancing the beauty of the most authentic Tuscan cuisine.

Caratteristiche

Grapes: Sangiovese

Production Area: Production in-house

Soil: The vineyards producing this wine are located on hills at 250 meters above sea level, with an east–west orientation, on soils rich in galestro.

Production Technique: Healthy grapes, harvested by hand at perfect ripeness, are destemmed, crushed, and fermented at a controlled temperature of 26–28 °C. This is followed by a gentle maceration lasting 20–25 days, aimed at extracting as many polyphenolic compounds as possible from the grapes. These compounds give the wine its color and body, as well as the ability to age gracefully. Aging takes place in the Farm’s underground cellars, in barriques, for a period of 18 months, enhancing and harmonizing the wine’s organoleptic characteristics. Finally, the wine undergoes a further 12 months of bottle refinement.
